Today on the blog I have a very special designer straight from the labyrinth streets of Shahpur Jatt, Delhi- Bhumika Grover. I was blown by her knack of playing with Georgette, lace, silks, brocades entwined with gorgeous borders and hand crafted embroidery which simply took my breath away. A Certified Fitness trainer, an Interior designer, and now a fashion designer from the last 10 years, she sure has added a lot of feathers to her cap. Her forte is creating traditional Indian classics. Apart from her regular seasonal collections, she also specialises in customizing designs for her clients( specially brides). When you visit her studio at Shahpur Jat, you’d be struck by a mélange of colors and a variety of exquisite garments on display. Racks full of Melodious anarkalis, elegant lehengas, breathtaking formal and semi formal for bridal wear, and beautiful handmade clutches make her studio a one stop solution to get the festive look on point!
It’s the beginning of festive season, plus Bhumika’s design sensibilities and aesthetics go perfectly with the festive mood, and I decided to plan a shoot that reflects the same. Also, we understand how demanding this time of the year can be and thinking of what to wear to the next Diwali cards party should be the last thing you’d be worried about. The idea behind this post is to show how versatile our Indian garments are. Two garments or separates can be styled together and can look like a completely new outfit. I picked these separates from Bhumika’s AW Collection to style two different looks and decided to have a cards party of my own. This is my go to look this festive season, easy to style and chic at the same time.
